Well, good luck with that. It's one of the things I tried to teach her... but sadly combined with poor timing and other issues, I think my attempt actually reinforced the opposite. Also she hates me. But, you know, I still think a week grounding is perfectly appropriate and indeed quite light punishment for hiring an assassin.
Only if caught, but pretty much, yeah. Needless to say, she didn't agree with me. ...also I think she went kinda crazy over that week. I mean, sure, I locked her in her room, but she was grounded. She got food, there was even a TV and personal bathroom, so I don't see what the problem is. Besides being punished when she didn't think she should be.
Noted. Well, in your case, it could just be she's lonely. I mean, she's only spurned nearly everyone wanting to help her (in their own, not-'high-class' way), so maybe she just wants someone to accept her. Good luck not being burned by that, by the by.
Well, she shouldn't be hiring hitmen then. A week or so is really pretty light punishment.
Then again, she DID start a business, so maybe she's learned to work somewhat, which is an improvement.
...even if her business is appropriately and worryingly named 'predatory business loans'.
...anyway, just thought I'd share what I know about the matter, and wish you luck. I figure it'll either go pretty well, or horribly badly. If the latter happens, I might be able to help you out... you know, so you can keep on living and all that nonsense.
Liking you verses wanting to make your every moment a living nightmare.
Ugh. Well. Attempting to work on her logic, it's less a date and more like, I don't know. Ever heard of those 'sweet 16' birthdays (which are horribly gaudy, and each girl probably should be culled from the gene pool for being so spoiled)? Think something like that, on a smaller scale. Limo, champagne, reserved seating section, delicacies that cost more than most weekly food budgets... that sort of thing. Probably a trip to opera or upscale play, too.
Well, the cynic in me that is me suspects that she did that to get her way. On the other hand, she's burned a lot of bridges, and maybe she just really wants someone to accept her.
...maybe google it. Suffice to say the birthday-ees act completely spoiled and entitled. And complain about things that other people would be ecstatic about, even if they got nothing else.
Maybe just do the dinner and movie, and maybe one more thing, so it doesn't seem like you're skimping, and you should be alright. I'd probably suggest a limo as it'd only add maybe 20,000 yen to the total cost. But maybe you'd prefer to treat her to a spa or massage... I imagine either would work.
But hey, just my suggestions. It's up to you whether you really want to even bother with her.

... Don't most people go to jail for hiring hitmen?

You know, just something to keep in mind.

I thought I kinda knew what a date was supposed to be but she confused me about all of the "the best" stuff.

I would assume, anyway.

... Actually no, I've never heard of "sweet 16" birthdays.
She said a dinner and a movie... I don't think that I can really do limo stuff... ... and definitely no champagne.
